Jeremy – who is currently director-general for energy and security in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy – will take up the role in September, where he will replace Helen MacNamara, who has been appointed to the role of director-general of propriety and ethics in the Cabinet Office.

In his new role, Jeremy will oversee the government’s work to help deliver homes across the UK.
